Intermediate Evaluation Process:

Intermediates is a program for 13-year-olds and is divided into House and Gold teams.  Players will now play on a 50'/70' sized baseball field. Intermediates introduces "real competitive baseball" to kids with leadoffs, pick offs & balks are now called. The kids will begin to play with the rules that are played in MLB. Different kinds of bats are introduced now (BBCOR). Kids also will have the option to wear metal cleats now. A good handful of these kids do play travel ball (year-round baseball).

The Gold team is an All-Star caliber team and is selected via an evaluation and will travel to play other teams within the District. They will play a minimum of 3 games a week with double headers on the weekend.

The House team is not an All-Star team, but is still a competitive program, and plays other District teams as well. They play a minimum of 2 games per week with double headers as well.

We will be running our intermediate players through 2-3 weeks of various baseball drills. This will be led by current D1 college players, and it will be at a fast pace with high intensity drills. This helps us evaluate the Gold players. It is highly recommended that you attend all eval dates.
